Artificial intelligence-based Two-Stage Analysis Pipeline is widely used in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency market news analysis. In the first stage (Stage-1) of this method, analytical elements of news articles are collected and deconstructed, and in the second stage (Stage-2), deep professional analysis is produced based on those elements. However, a serious problem has recently been identified that has raised questions about the reliability of this analysis method.
The problem is that when the first stage analysis contains no usable analytical content, the second stage analysis cannot be effectively performed. A recent article analysis revealed that in the first stage analysis, the article title, source, type, one-sentence summary, author stance, article purpose, information points, entities involved, time sensitivity, and source quality were all empty or missing.
In this situation, each of the nine dimensions of the second stage analysis has been marked as "insufficient information" or "missing." Tactical and technical analysis, club finance and transfer market analysis, sporting results and public-opinion cycle analysis, league landscape and team positioning analysis, rules and governance compliance analysis, management and dressing-room analysis, risk profile analysis, media narrative and expectation analysis, and football industry transmission analysis — meaningful analysis was not possible in any of these areas.
The root cause of this problem is the failure to ensure data integrity in the analysis pipeline. If there are errors in data collection and processing in the first stage of an AI-based analysis system, it renders the entire analysis ineffective in the second stage. The core philosophy of blockchain technology is transparency, immutability, and data integrity. However, if those principles are not applied in the analysis pipeline, AI-based analysis can also produce incorrect or incomplete results.
This is not only a football analysis problem — the same type of problem is seen in blockchain and cryptocurrency news analysis. When analyzing news about a token or project, if there are errors in the initial data collection phase, no decision based on that analysis can be reliable.
The impact of this problem is even more severe in the blockchain ecosystem. Because transparency and verifiability are fundamental principles in blockchain. If the analysis system itself is not verifiable, it contradicts the core philosophy of blockchain. When making investment decisions in the cryptocurrency market based on analytical reports, the reliability of those reports is extremely important.
Several steps can be taken to solve this problem. First, a data validation layer should be added to the analysis system that verifies the output of the first stage. If essential information points, summary, or entities are missing in the first stage, the system should automatically send that article for reprocessing or alert the user.
Second, blockchain technology can be used to record every step of the analysis pipeline. This would ensure that it is possible to verify how any specific analysis result was produced. Smart contracts can be used to verify data integrity at every step of the analysis.
Third, a reliability rating system for analysis should be introduced. A reliability score should be attached to each analysis result, depending on source quality, amount of information, and depth of analysis. Users can then make informed decisions about how much to rely on any analysis.
Fourth, AI models should be specifically trained to handle information vacuums. The model should be taught that when there is insufficient information, it should clearly state that analysis is not possible rather than fabricating assumptions or presumed information.
This type of information vacuum is particularly harmful in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. Because in this field, investment decisions based on incorrect information can lead to significant financial losses. Reliable information is extremely important in the analysis of DeFi protocols, NFT markets, or token economics.
Blockchain technology itself can be a solution to this problem. Decentralized Oracles can be used to collect the data needed for analysis, which would automatically verify data quality and reliability. Analytical data can be stored on IPFS or similar decentralized storage systems, which are immutable and verifiable.
In the future, it is possible to create an automated analysis system combining AI and blockchain that verifies information quality at the first stage and, if information is insufficient, automatically attempts to collect additional information. Such a system could revolutionize cryptocurrency market analysis, DeFi protocol evaluation, and blockchain project viability analysis.
However, the core condition of all this is data integrity. If blockchain teaches us transparency and immutability, those principles should also be applied in analysis systems. Rather than analyzing in a situation of information vacuum, it should be transparently stated that analysis is not possible. This is consistent with the core philosophy of blockchain and will ensure more reliable services for users.
The solution to this problem is not only technological but also a philosophical question. Will we leave everything to artificial intelligence, or will we build a responsible analysis system in harmony with blockchain values? The answer to this question will determine the quality and reliability of cryptocurrency and blockchain news analysis in the future.
